A WORD ABOUT US
We come from many different places, but what unites us is our passion. At Moment Factory, each new project is a blank page awaiting the creativity and talent of our whole team, no matter the individual responsibilities, roles, or fields. Our desire to innovate, to take risks, and to learn from our mistakes and from each other is what allows us to create collective projects that go above and beyond. Today, thanks to a team of 450 creative minds, we have been able to create immersive multimedia environments for artists, museums, airports, brands, theme parks and events, as well as our signature shows. No matter the canvas – be it film, lighting, multimedia architecture, sound design, special effects, or interactive projects – the thirst for experimentation and innovation is at the core of our DNA.
YOUR TEAM
The CG team is much more than a link in the production chain — it is the beating heart of digital creation. It precisely orchestrates every stage of the multimedia production pipeline to bring powerful, ambitious, and technically flawless visual experiences to life.
Working closely with the Content Producer, the CG team develops tailored production strategies that optimize timelines, resources, and creative impact. Together, they ensure smooth, innovative execution that is always aligned with the project’s vision.
YOUR MISSION
As a CG Supervisor, you are part of the creative team responsible for the design, animation, and production of animated visual content for both permanent and temporary multimedia installations.
You act as a manager responsible for the artistic and technical quality of the projects assigned to you, contributing to their analysis, recruitment, communication, and supervision of the teams involved.
Beyond traditional CG supervision responsibilities (budget, scheduling, quality), you will serve as the technical and operational pillar for transitioning certain projects to Unreal Engine. You will define standards, optimize workflows, and act as a mentor to ensure the smooth integration of this technology across projects (Mapping, Previz, Final Render).
🚀
Strategic Vision & Unreal Pipeline
- Technology Transition: Lead the transition to Unreal Engine by defining workflows, naming conventions, and processes. Maintain alignment with real-time production.
- Pipeline Architecture: Develop, implement, and optimize pre-rendered pipelines in collaboration with Technical Direction (Content TD) for high-resolution and atypical canvas projects. Ensure alignment with interactive and real-time pipeline development.
- Documentation: Document workflows, produce technical reports, and maintain the department’s knowledge base.
- R&D & Monitoring: Stay up to date with the latest Unreal Engine versions (UE5+) and emerging technologies (Nanite, Lumen, Virtual Production).
- Tools: Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks. Collaborate with teams to develop custom tools that facilitate data import and asset management.
Technical Support & Production Quality
- Technical Expertise: Provide hands-on expertise across all aspects of production, including scene assembly, lighting, shading, animation, and rendering.
- Optimization: Establish best practices for profiling, debugging, and performance optimization (LODs, textures, Blueprints) to ensure smooth project performance.
- Previsualization: Contribute to the development of VR previsualization workflows for Unreal-based projects.
- Validation: Identify pipeline issues early in production and validate assets before integration.
- Quality Control (QC): Ensure all outputs (final pixels, layers, compositing passes) meet high visual fidelity standards and client requirements.
Project Strategy & Budgeting
- Support producers in building project budgets by selecting the appropriate technologies
- Collaborate closely with project managers and creative leads to plan production according to budget constraints
- Define the level of quality in relation to the allocated budget
- Assess technical needs and pipeline requirements, and propose solutions aligned with the project team
- Support: Provide technical guidance to artists and act as a bridge between management and creative teams.
- Communication: Facilitate collaboration between creative, technical, and production teams to clarify Unreal’s impact on timelines and budgets.
YOUR BACKGROUND
- Experience: Proven experience in CG supervision with strong hands-on expertise in
- Unreal Engine within a production environment.
- Experience with multi-tool workflows. Knowledge of best practices for transferring data between Unreal and traditional DCCs (Houdini/C4D/Maya), as well as tracking and managing those workflows.
- Expertise: Strong understanding of the 3D production pipeline (Modeling, Rigging, LookDev) and its adaptation to real-time environments.
- Version Control: Experience with version control systems such as Perforce or Git, particularly for managing large binary assets.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams through technological transitions. Experience building or implementing production pipelines.
- Ability to challenge existing tools and workflows.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to translate complex artistic concepts into efficient, budget-conscious technical solutions.
- Interest and familiarity with AI.
